The Louet S10 is a classic design, with minor modifications, to keep it on the leading edge of spinning technology. The flyer of the S10 has been redesigned with a sliding hook flyer, for non-snag spinning of textured yarns. The Louet S10's careful design has proven to be an ideal wheel for beginners and experts alike. Large bobbins allow you to spin lots of yarn before you need to change them.

Sturdy construction makes it a suitable wheel for production spinners. The single hole in the wheel leads to a balanced flywheel, which ensures that the wheel always stops in the place that you stop. Constructed with solid lacquered wood and complete with three bobbins and built in two bobbin lazy kate. Choose from classic single treadle, modern double treadle or scotch tension double treadle. Ratios are 1:5.5,7.5 and 10.5. The S10 weights only 13 pounds and has an orifice diameter of 1/2 inch.

A High Speed Set is also available for this wheel for easier spinning of very fine yarns. Finally, an excellent spinning wheel must turn freely and quietly. Accordingly we use maintenance-free ball bearings in the main hub and at the footman connection. (No lubrication is required). The spinning wheels are disassembled to the extent that they can be packed flat and shipped economically. The assembly consists of tightening two nuts for which tools and instructions are included
